When you pack up all your belongings and move to a new town in the Carolinas, you might be left without some of the everyday items you need. Instead of driving around for thirty minutes to buy some toilet paper, here are some things you might want to set aside and pack boxes that will travel with you.

1. Enough clothes, toiletries, and medication to last you for a few days. Rather than packing these in a box, you might find it easier to pack in a suitcase. Think of it like you’re going on a vacation to your new home. Especially if you have medication, make sure you have a couple of refills to ensure you don’t run out before you are able to find a new doctor.

2. Paper goods like toilet paper, paper towels, and plates. If there’s any delay in getting you your belongings, you don’t want to be left without your basic necessities. Sure you can go out and buy these things, but after a long day of traveling the last thing you will want to do is go out and search for a grocery store.

3. Snacks, easy meals, and water. Even while you’re traveling to your new home, it’s nice to not be stopping all the time for meals and snacks. Keeping some healthy snacks on hand is especially important if you have any special dietary needs.
